Maria graduated from Montclair State University with a BA in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Psychology and is working on obtaining her CADC. Maria has worked for many years in the field of Mental Health and Addiction. Her experience includes working in an inpatient psychiatric unit, in various outpatient programs, as well as residential settings before joining Social Recovery Center. As the Admissions and Outreach Coordinator, she is an empathic ally to clients as they enter into treatment and throughout their treatment journey. She recognizes the challenges and vulnerabilities that a person faces when making the decision to enter into treatment, has a passion for helping others, and is keenly attuned to the challenges faced by those struggling with Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health diagnoses
